Welcome

Welcome to the District 24 Al-Anon Family Group website, serving Monterey County, California.

The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems.

We believe alcoholism is a family illness and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.

More on Al-Anon
  • Al-Anon Family Groups are not allied with any sect, denomination, political entity, organization, or institution; does not engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any cause.
  • There are no dues for membership. Al-Anon is self-supporting through its own voluntary contributions.
  • Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.
  • We have daily meetings, and bi-monthly Speaker meetings (see Meetings page).
  • We have Alateen meetings for people under the age of 21, and meetings en Espanol as well.
  • Literature is available at all the meetings.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month

Carry the Message to Families and Friends of Alcoholics

During Alcohol Awareness Month

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a campaign to increase public awareness and understanding of alcoholism and alcohol-related issues. Members can take advantage of this opportunity to raise awareness about the support families can get at local Al-Anon and Alateen meetings.

To participate in this public outreach campaign, members can “Share” and “Repost” the WSO’s social media posts and include #AlcoholAwarenessMonth2018, #AlAnon and #Alateen.
